“Pretty trippy”

“The human brain keeps a sound in memory for up to 0.1 seconds”. If the reflection is faster, we hear a reverb (the sound is prolonged), if slower, we hear an echo (a second sound). Hard, smooth surfaces reflect the sound more directly, then soft, rough ones (those ones diffuse them more). And, parabolic shapes concentrate and amplify the waves even more. And this is what happens when all this adds up.
